NEXT-National Exit Test

NEXT is a national level exit exam after MBBS that will standardize the quality of general medical professionals who graduate to clinical practice. It is also intended to serve as the national level PG entrance examination for MBBS graduates.

PG NEET examination was considered only to an entrance exam for the admission of MD/MS in India.

NEXT includes the below

i. This exam ensures that only the successful candidates of NEXT can practice medicine in India.

ii. NEXT will be considered as the entrance exam for admissions for MD/MS.

iii.Those candidates who have graduated MBBS from countries other than India have to pass NEXT exam to practice in India.
